Alethea Carbaugh is in her final year at Temple University in Philadelphia. She is an undergraduate Anthropology student, with a focus in Visual Anthropology, and a minor in comparative Religions. Her interests include the combination of Anthropology and Religion, specifically how religions affect the practice of one's daily life. Locations around the world, which she is specifically interested in studying contain but are not limited to Asia and Southeast Asia. Recently she traveled to India through a Temple University study abroad experience, where she shot the footage for The Last Rites of the Honourable Mr. Rai, her first full-length film project. Upon graduation, Alethea hopes to attain an internship in India, working as an ethnographic film assistant, in a town called Jodhpur. There she will continue researching and studying the Hindu culture and religion, and will continue to create ethnographic films.
