Anya Bernstein
Anya Bernstein is a cultural anthropologist and documentary filmmaker.Born and raised in the former Soviet Union, she currently lives in New York. She has worked and studied in Russia, England, France, India, and the US while conducting multiple research trips to both North and South Asia for her fieldwork and films. Anya holds an MA in Visual Anthropology from the University of Manchester and a BS in Linguistics from Georgetown University. She is currently finishing her Ph.D. dissertation in cultural anthropology at New York University.
Anya currently has two films available at D.E.R., In Pursuit of the Siberian Shaman and Join Me in Shambala.
