Lauren Semmel

Lauren Semmel graduated from Temple University ('07) with a baccalaureate of Arts degree in Visual Anthropology. She recently has traveled to India, Japan, and Thailand through Temple University study abroad experience, which shows that she is an experienced traveler and globally minded. She is quite a talented cameraperson and is proficient in the editing process as well. The Last Rites of the Honourable Mr. Rai is her first full-length film, but has made many short films for her visual anthropology classes.

Since Lauren graduating, she is now in the process of traveling to Vietnam, where she will work with an ethnographic film company. She will stay there for at least eight months with the possibility of extending her stay. There she will study the Vietnamese culture and continue to produce ethnographic films.
