ABOUT DIGITAL SITE LICENSES

By purchasing a Digital Site License, academic institutions receive a digital file for storage on their own or on third-party servers, for streaming to authorized users in their community. The terms of Digital Site Licenses may be for one or more years, including Life of File. Purchasers of a Digital Site License agree to the following terms:

Authorized Users: All current staff, faculty and employees of the university, whether part-time or full-time, and students who are currently registered who are permitted to access the Secure Network from within the Campus or from such other places where Authorized Users work or study and who have been issued by the Licensee with a password or other authentication. The Film(s) may not be shared via inter-library loan or other services with other colleges or campuses or any other party.

Life of File: If the Term is Life of File, the right and license granted to Licensee hereunder is limited to the life of the file delivered to Licensee upon execution and payment of the Fee. This is not an in perpetuity license and Licensee is not eligible for replacement files or upgrades of any sort.

Secure Network:  Either a standalone network or a virtual network that is only accessible to Authorized Users approved by the Licensee and which is authenticated at the time of log-in and consistent with current best practice, and whose conduct is subject to regulation by the Licensee.

Institutions wishing to purchase a Digital Site License are required to complete a Digital Site License Agreement.
