The Humankind Program Fund
Mass media: a powerful tool, often misused. The Humankind public radio series is trying to turn that around with uplifting programs that encourage listeners to reflect and to act with vision, conscience and compassion.
Distributed by NPR since 2004, this award-winning series offers a vision of community, based on personal ideals and values, such as compassion, service, generosity, equality, conflict resolution, civility and sustainability. We aim to serve the large and growing audience of people who seek a positive alternative to media negativity and exploitation.
Consider making a tax-deductible contribution to the Humankind Program Fund, which is administered by our partner, Documentary Educational Resources, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization — established in 1968 to distribute films and now public radio programs. The Fund supports production and distribution of Humankind programs, as well as Humankind podcasts. Thank you!
We view the exiting, evolving apparatus of mass communications as an unprecedented opportunity for public service that can help to build a more cohesive community.
