Adam Booher is a filmmaker with DDC films. His work includes producing and photographing Give Us This Day (An AT&T Original Documentary – 2018), directing The Last Bonesetter (2018), and editing Ferguson: A Report from Occupied Territory (Fusion – 2015), The Hanging (ITVS – 2017), and Rio Bizarro: Super Hero Politics in Brazil (Fusion – 2016). Adam’s work also includes Momentum Generation (Universal – 2018), Nossa Chape (Fox Sports – 2018), Rebel Geeks (Al Jazeera – 2015), and Youngstown Boys (ESPN – 2013); and has produced and photographed programs for HBO’s VICE News Tonight, CBS, and the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Adam works as a communications consultant with the US Agency for International Development, World Bank, The University of North Carolina, Duke University, and others. His films are informed by backgrounds in anthropology and journalism.
Adam’s work has been screened by the Tribeca Film Festival, SXSW Film Festival, and Ethnografilm Festival; published by the New York Times, the American Journal of Human Biology, the Society of Medical Anthropology newsletter, and the Royal Anthropology Institute; and received awards including an Emmy (2014) and Deadline Award for Investigative Reporting (2016).
